Adolfo Prego de Oliver y Tolivar studied Law at Universidad Complutense (Madrid) graduating in 1973. In 1977 he joined the Judicial Career by passing the correspondent public examination. In 1983, while he worked as a Judge for the First Instance Court of Trujillo (Cáceres), he was promoted to Magistrate, being transferred to Tenerife and Segovia. He became part of the Court of Appeal of Segovia in 1986 while acting as its President between 1995 and 1998, promoting at that time to Magistrate of the Spanish Supreme Court. Starting on 2000 and until 2008 he served as a member of the Judicial Government Body. He was also the President of the Examination Board which grant access to the Judicial Career for the criminal jurisdiction. Moreover, he teaches Civil Law at Segovia’s Law School Domingo de Soto, dependent on Universidad Complutense, and acts as a Professor in the School of Legal Practice of Segovia. In addition to this, he teaches theoretical and practical lessons in the access Course to the Public Prosecuting Career. He has published various works on White Collar Criminal Law and he has participated as speaker in several conferences. In September of 2011 he took a voluntary leave from the Spanish Supreme Court and joined this law firm as Partner.
